As part of the Gen 5 ARES range, the Commanders belt kit represents a complete redesign. When JayJays® undertook this project over four years ago, the objective was to develop a total redesign over the previous Gen 4 belt kit by incorporating extensive end-user feedback gathered through operational trials and by applying advanced manufacturing techniques to reduce weight and improve performance to create the next generation of lightweight belt kit

The Gen 5 Commanders belt kit incorporates EVA thermo-formed foam pads designed to promote ventilation while contouring naturally to the wearer’s body, improving comfort and stability during prolonged wear and heavy load carriage.

A total laminate construction is used throughout the system, providing increased abrasion resistance and enhanced structural integrity to the pouches. This construction improves durability while maintaining pouch shape, making it easier to access and stow equipment under operational conditions.

The laminate construction also reduces overall weight, making the system lighter than the previous Gen 4 Commanders Webbing.

The laminate materials exhibit negligible water absorption, preventing water retention and ensuring consistent performance in wet or humid environments.

Fixed pouch placement allows the system to accommodate users with smaller waist sizes without reducing load capacity. Through optimised design and manufacturing methods, the required number of pouches is retained and sewn onto pads of differing lengths, ensuring a consistent pouch layout while providing a secure, tailored fit for the individual user.

The system is designed for flexibility and compatibility, accommodating multiple magazine types to support a wide range of operational requirements.

This webbing is compatible with PLCE yokes & JayJays molle and under armour yokes.

• Ammunition pouch fits 6 x 5.56 30 round magazines or 4 x 7.62 20 round magazines
• Utility pouches large enough for a jetboil, metal mug or radio. with one handed surface mount clips
• 2 radio strap fittings for weight distribution.
• Removable internal divider in the Commanders pouch
• Commanders pouch can also fit 2 x 5.56 50 round LMG bags or 6 x 30 round 5.56 magazines
• Molle attachments to all lids and sides of pouches
• Utility pouch compression strap to reduce bounce
• Pouches form a block when full to reduce bounce
• Dump pouch attachment loops
• EV Thermoform pads to allow ventilation and contour to the body shape
• Height developed to make sure padding covers all pouches ensuring comfort to the end user
