On Friday 31st January2025, the directors of JayJays were invited to join the Army In Wales team at 160th Brigade Headquarters in Brecon to sign the Armed Forces Covenant.
This is something we had been looking into for quite some time and every step of the process just felt right.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.
“As a business that relies heavily upon serving members of the armed forces, it is a privilege to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. We have employed numerous veterans/reservists in the business, and where possible will continue to do so. Much of what the Covenant embraces is already in our business model. To make it official was the next natural step in our progress. We look forward to continuing our work and reaching for the next award: Defence Employer Recognition Scheme – Silver.” – Adam, JayJays Director
Adam took the initiative to sign the covenant alongside Colonel Sean Walker, Deputy Commander of 160th Brigade.

We weren’t alone during the signing as Two Dogs Coffee Co of Brecon were also alongside Colonel Sean Walker in the signing of the covenant. Two Dogs Coffee Co have been serving coffee, tea and other hot treats to civilians and military personnel since they opened their shop in 2021.

From here on and until our next signing for the silver award, JayJays will continue to do everything it can for the military community and wider.
